Daphna Noy is a body based artist working in a variety of media and uses many forms of communication. Noy is a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design (M.F.A), where she enrolled after earning her bachelor degree in dance (B.Dance with honors) from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. Following her formal training in techniques of ballet, belly dancing, modern dance, floor work and more. Noy traveled to New York to study at Movement Research, a center associated with the legacy of the Judson Dance Theater.

 

In addition to her artistic practice, Noy serves as a movement expert at KEMTAI. She specializes in defining and identifying body joints for advanced computer vision algorithms, manages annotation teams, and oversees the creation of exercise content. Noy’s unique expertise bridges embodied movement knowledge and technological innovation, contributing to the development of KEMTAI’s cutting-edge digital technology.

Her works have been presented at Llorar Gallery (Mexico), Florentin Quartet (Tel Aviv-Yafo), Almacen Gallery (Tel Aviv-Yafo). Noy has participated in many international artist residency programs, including AZ WEST (program led by artist Andrea Zittel in Joshua Tree, California), SOMA (Mexico) and Exercising Modernity (Warsaw - Tel Aviv - Berlin), where she received a scholarship for the research of her project Daily Choreographies. ​
